Assignment Description

Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking an engaged developer for their Base Design team. The Base Design Team within Service Technology works in the early development phases (1-4 years before car launch) to understand the needs of future Service Providers.

The team creates prerequisites to enable handling of their cars in the aftermarket, considering both the product development by Research and Development and their own workshop concepts.

Car Service Business is an organization within our client with the purpose of enabling an effortless car usage and service experience. Service Technology, which operates within Car Service Business, is responsible for making life less complicated for consumers by supplying service providers with safe, sustainable, and efficient car service technology solutions in the areas of spare parts, maintenance and repair instructions, as well as tools and equipment.

They work with a responsibility that spans from the creation of technical service solutions to information creation and implementation in the markets. Our client’s ambition is to be the preferred supplier of spare parts and services to their retailers and customers, thereby actively contributing to creating the best car usage experience.

Main Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with other internal Service Business Teams to identify aftermarket needs.
• Work closely with the Research and Development organization to achieve the best possible service solutions, focusing on new technologies, sustainability, and circularity.
• Influence product design to optimize the spare parts assortment for specific car launches.
• Identify and optimize the needs for special tools.

Qualifications:

• University engineering education or equivalent experience.
• Experience in the automotive industry and car product design.
• Experience in the product development process or workshop concepts.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
