Assignment Description

We are looking for a Software Test Engineer to our client.  Their software team within R&D, which is responsible to develop firmware and application software for their instruments and handle maintenance through the product care process, is now looking for an experienced software tester.

As a Software Test Engineer you can enhance their software offer by applying your expertise in manual and automated testing, ensuring that the software have the quality required by their stakeholders, both internal and external. You will work in close collaboration with the development team and the V&V team that is responsible for requirements, verification and
validation.

Job scope outline:

• Conduct and document functional, integration, regression, security and performance testing to identify defects and ensure the overall quality of the software.
• Track defects and work closely with the development team to resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Utilize automated testing tools and frameworks to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
•  Create and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases in Microsoft DevOps.
• Maintain Microsoft DevOps development build pipelines and integrate the test automation framework into the build process.
• Serve as a subject matter expert of software testing within the software development and R&D.
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in software testing and quality assurance.
• Actively contribute to continuous improvement of ways of working within the team.

Education and Experience:

• B.Sc or M.Sc in Software Engineering, Computer Science or similar.
• Good understanding of software testing methodologies, principles, and best practices for both front-end and back-end. Experience in firmware testing is a merit.
• Hands-on experience with test automation tools such as Cypress, Selenium, Cucumber, or similar. Experience with Cypress is a merit.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Java Script/Type Script, Python, or C#.
• Working knowledge of test management software and Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Experience of working with virtual machines.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a merit.
• Experience of working with requirements, verification and validation is a merit.
• Experience within the Life Science industry is a merit.
