Assignment Description
Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) Lead Engineer. As part of their team, you will have access to development opportunities in a dynamic and continuously growing field, where you will have a strong direct influence on customer satisfaction.
The team offers many function development opportunities through advanced engineering and research projects. The team is part of the Agile Release Train (ART) for Body Control & Road Contact. In their daily work, they operate in an agile team with 7–9 members with different roles and responsibilities. They own their functions from the concept phase until the cars end production.
The tyre monitoring team focuses on tyre monitoring technologies such as TPMS and other advanced engineering-related functions. They are a relatively small team, so every team member makes a significant impact, and you can see your contribution in the end product. They also work closely with other teams and suppliers to ensure that tyre monitoring technologies are implemented according to our client’s requirements.
You will work with tyre monitoring technologies, contributing to the design, software development, implementation, and testing activities regarding new functionalities in close cooperation with other team members. You can provide new ideas to continuously improve the product and product portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and schedule/implement needed activities to meet different project milestones/gates.
- Plan and schedule testing and verification activities according to project milestones/gates.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with different stakeholders, including internal departments and external suppliers, to meet milestones.
- Maintain time plans with needed activities.
- Support vehicle launches in plants and analyze quality issues.
- Lead continuous improvements of processes, methods, technology, or tools.
- Ensure the quality and traceability of documentation.
- Cooperate and communicate effectively with vehicle project leads/department management and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical, software, automotive engineering, or equivalent.
- Proven working experience as a software/mechatronic development project lead.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Very proactive attitude and good communication skills.
- Decision-making ability and leadership skills.
- Time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work on multiple projects.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Driving license (B) will be an advantage.
- 5+ years of experience in automotive OEM or supplier in a related area is preferred.
