Assignment Description

Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a CI/CD DevOps Engineer. At the Software Factory, they are building a community with highly skilled personnel, harmonizing workflows, and developing tools to be used across R&D, with the aim of accelerating software development within the organization.

They are responsible for:

  • Developing continuous integration (CI) architecture and infrastructure.
  • Maintaining the complete software build and CI flow.
  • Enabling high utilization of infrastructure, test objects, and test artefacts.
  • Creating automated tools and applications to secure an efficient flow.
  • Supporting traceability to fulfill all legal requirements.
  • Applying manufacturing principles and techniques to software development to mimic the benefits of traditional manufacturing and create a software product line.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Configure, implement, and automate Continuous Integration/Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for efficient software delivery.
  • Integrate test automation frameworks within the CI/CD pipelines.
  • Continuously improve the speed, efficiency, scalability, and stability of the continuous integration system and environment.
  • Design and implement systems for visualizing development status to create transparency and enable appropriate actions.
  • Act as a liaison between development teams and IT, capturing demand, trends, and other relevant information.
  • Support various R&D development teams with CI/CD tools and methodologies.

Required Qualifications:

  • M.Sc. in Electrical and/or Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar relevant experience.
  • Experience with automation scripting (Python, Bash, Batch, Groovy, or Shell).
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of the fundamental concepts of CI/CD and automated testing, with disciplined methods in the design, development, debugging, and testing of software programs.
  • Experience with continuous integration infrastructure tools for software development (e.g., Jenkins, Zuul CI).
  • Experience with relevant tools and techniques (e.g., Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience working in an agile environment with methodologies like Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.
