Assignment Description

Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a Software Developer. The Climate department is responsible for climate development within our client’s organization and is part of the Vehicle Platform unit within their Engineering division. They own most of the components connected to the climate function and the software control of the same. Part of this is the Diagnostics team, which is responsible for developing software to diagnose components within the climate system, optimize potential uptime, and mitigate problems in their systems.

As a software developer, you will be part of the diagnostics team, working with the latest technology in climate comfort and using modern tools within software development to develop software with speed and quality. They continuously challenge themselves to find energy-efficient solutions that provide the customer with a reliable, premium comfort experience. Parts of the work involve designing and implementing world-leading algorithms, as well as testing and verifying your solutions in vehicles or other test environments.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to function development, testing, and releasing climate control software to the customer.
  • Ensure functional standards and best practices are applied.
  • Collaborate with the software team to guide appropriate test solutions.

Qualifications:

  • M.Sc. in Systems, Control and Mechatronics, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years of embedded software design and implementation, especially working with on-board diagnostics (OBD) and diagnostics in general, including fault codes.
  • Understanding of the E/E architecture of intelligent electric vehicles (topology, node interactions, testing activities).
  • Experience with Simulink and MATLAB development.
  • Knowledge of CANoe/CANalyzer.
  • Knowledge of ETAS INCA/MDA.
  • Proficiency in the Python programming language.
  • Knowledge of continuous integration concepts, familiar with CI toolchains such as Zuul, Jenkins, Git, Gerrit, etc.
  • Good level of written and spoken English.
  • Climate system knowledge is a plus.
  • Valid driving license “B” in Sweden.
