Assignment Description

Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a Release Coordinator. They are on an exciting journey to expand their in-house software development capabilities. At the Computing Infrastructure System department, they are part of this aspiration. Their teams are building the next-generation high-performance in-vehicle computer (“Computing Infrastructure”), designed to host various vehicle applications, ranging from basic vehicle state machines to advanced active safety and unsupervised autonomous driving functionalities.

Their department exists to provide a robust, safe, and secure system design, and to successfully release the computing infrastructure system. They are accountable for a software flow that provides fast feedback to software developers and delivers the system with known quality.

The Computing Infrastructure System department is responsible for:

• Systemization
• Overall quality measurement
• Release of the Core Compute Platform Software and applications
• Providing the department with tools, infrastructure, and software operations

They are looking for a Release Coordinator for their release area.

Main Responsibilities:

As a Release Coordinator, you will:

• Work with a team of Release Coordinators to ensure that releases meet milestones with known quality and content
• Collaborate with the quality team and operational configuration managers to support the quality assurance of the releases
• Help shape the release process
• Coordinate to get the planned release out with the right content and released for the next program milestones
• Communicate with all involved stakeholders to package the release
• Plan the releases to meet planned milestones
• Communicate release status to the Release Manager and other stakeholders
• Handle change orders in KDP

Qualifications:

• Previous experience with the KDP change order process
• Minimum 5 years of experience in release management or continuous integration
• Experience in the automotive industry or other relevant industries
• Good understanding of embedded software development
• M.Sc. degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or comparable experience
• Fluency in spoken and written English
