Assignment Description
Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a System Designer – Switches & Wireless Phone Charger.
At Switches & WPC, they are responsible for:
- Complete components
- Mechatronics (HW/SW)
- In-house software and testing
Their mission is to offer solutions for switches and the wireless phone charger that support their company priorities, with a strong focus on customer experience.
Main Responsibilities:
- Working with existing and new functionality in current and upcoming car projects and electrical architectures.
- Developing, defining, and verifying robust system designs and technical solutions.
- Creating and interpreting high-level system designs.
- Contributing to the complete galvanic architecture and translating innovation into requirements and design guidelines for new designs.
- Providing senior engineering support and guiding teams through technical challenges.
- Collaborating closely with design engineers and stakeholders across our client’s Engineering organization.

Qualifications:
- Over 4 years of experience in function and system.
- Experience in advanced function and system designs, systemization, and modeling.
- Experience in requirement development and decomposing requirements on different abstraction layers, with knowledge about dependencies between components.
- Experience in systemization of safety-critical functions and knowledge of applying standards such as ISO26262 and cybersecurity.
- Experience with tools such as Electra (signal database) and CarWeaver (SWRS).
- Knowledge of Signal Data Base (SDB) changes affecting the software.
- Proficiency in wireless network communication and vehicle communication protocols (CAN/LIN/Ethernet).
- Understanding and designing of diagnostic solutions for the system.
- Ability to provide technical trade-offs concerning systems, functions, modules, components, and interfaces, and secure deliveries in the decided area.
- Experience working with customers, stakeholders, and suppliers to establish high-level system design, system design information models, and documentation requirements.
- Experience in the integration of hardware and software.
- An M.Sc. degree in Software Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent competence.
