Assignment Description

Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a Configuration Manager.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Initiate and Lead: Initiate and lead test objects’ needs for systems and subsystems analysis and verification in front of the build series.
  • Establish Test Object Requirements: Determine the number of test objects, cars, and rigs needed per pre-series.
  • Handle Work Requests: Manage work requests from the Propulsion & Energy organization for the programs.
  • Plan and Optimize: Plan, optimize, and prioritize vehicle test objects with Program Managers for maximum utilization within Propulsion & Energy, including test object preparation and interface parts required for the rigs.
  • Collect Test Requests: Gather Propulsion & Energy vehicle test requests.
  • Ensure Delivery: Ensure timely and within-specification delivery of test objects and rig kits by compiling, tracking, and updating each test object variant, including test object ID, test preparation needs, and test specifications.
  • Coordinate and Inform: Coordinate and communicate deviations, delays, or risks affecting test object deliveries to Customers.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with program managers to identify test objects, vehicles, and rig kit volumes needed, prioritize tasks, handle risks and deviations, and support material ordering.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
  • Project leader/project manager/project coordinator experience in a product development environment (including testing), preferably related to Propulsion systems.

  • Fluent in English, both written and oral, as it is the corporate language.
