Assignment Description

We are looking for a Surface Designer to our client’s interior concept surface design team. You are a patient and devoted surface designer who finds the excitement and challenge in modelling complex shapes to harmonic perfection. You will be modelling interior components in the later concept phase/mid phase.

Main responsibilities:

• Together with designer and studio engineer, take responsibility for the inclusion of the technical constraints as well as design intention in the digital model.
• Quality check of surface models
• Deliver design approved DSM models to Engineering
• Surface design of car interiors

Required qualifications:

• ICEM Surf or Alias
• Structured modelling methodology with low math and theoretical intersection
• Ability to deliver the right level of detail to the right time according to their standard
• At least seven years of modelling in the automotive industry
• Good technical understanding with high interest in interior design
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Eligible qualifications:

• CATIA V5
• Blender or similar subdivision tool
