Assignment Description

Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a Cloud Software Engineer for EV Smart Charging and Home Energy Management Systems.

At the department of Energy Management within Propulsion and Energy, they deliver a complete charging experience and solutions to make life easier for electric vehicle owners. This includes minimizing energy consumption, CO2 impact, and cost. The group Energy Cloud Services is responsible for the cloud-related parts of the solutions, sharing energy and charging-related data through their Energy API in the developer portal, as well as price-optimized charging strategies executed via car or charger. This also enables grid stabilization and, with bi-directional capable vehicles and chargers, full integration with a home energy management system.

Main Responsibilities:

• Work as a cloud software developer in a creative and self-organizing environment where roles are not strictly differentiated.
• Focus on cost optimization of charging, considering all aspects of energy and power tariffs.
• Balance the load for the whole household to minimize the total energy cost for the owner.
• Take initiative and responsibility for your activities.
• Be transparent with the rest of the team, inclusive in your attitude, and act as a team player.

Qualifications:

• More than 4 years of work experience in the relevant field and at least a bachelor’s degree in engineering (or similar knowledge acquired in other ways).
• Cloud software developer (primarily C#) with knowledge and experience in modern software development (including DevOps).
• Experience working in a fast-paced, creative, and agile environment.
• Experience and skills within energy systems and solutions are of greater value than those of vehicle systems, although a general interest in vehicle technology is beneficial.
• Although not necessary, having a valid driving license (level B) is a plus.
