Assignment Description:

Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a Surface Designer, Level 1.

Our client’s surface design actualizes the design vision in surface models to be shared with engineering.

Surface Designer in Alias or ICEM Surf:

To their exterior surface design team, they are looking for you! A patient and devoted surface designer who finds excitement and challenge in modeling complex shapes to harmonic perfection. You will be modeling exterior components in the production phase.

Main Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with designers and studio engineers to ensure the inclusion of technical constraints as well as design intention in the digital model.
• Perform quality checks of surface models.
• Deliver design-approved DSM models to Engineering.

Required Qualifications:

• Proficiency in ICEM Surf or Alias.
• Structured modeling methodology with low math and theoretical intersection.
• Ability to deliver the right level of detail at the right time according to our client’s standards.
• At least three years of modeling experience in the automotive industry.
• Good technical understanding with a high interest in exterior design.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Eligible Qualifications:

• Experience with CATIA V5.
• Familiarity with Teamcenter.
