Assignment Description

Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking an Embedded Software Tester to join their Vehicle Modes SW team. The team develops application software that manages vehicle modes in the car, controlling electrical energy optimization and function availability through daily drive cycles and the entire life cycle. It provides essential functionality to the core system of the SPA2/SPA3 software & electronic platform. The team is responsible for the whole development chain, including requirement management, system design, software development, software testing in rigs and cars, and safety/security documentation.

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure the correctness and quality of application software for the SPA2/SPA3 core system in collaboration with your empowered and agile team members.
  • Conduct testing mainly on domain and complete levels in multiple testing environments, such as cars, boxcars, and HIL rigs.
  • Contribute to the implementation and execution of an automated workflow with continuous integration and testing of new software.
  • Work closely with a broad spectrum of competences within HW, SW, and System engineering, expanding your knowledge within many different fields.

Qualifications

  • Experience in vehicle software testing of embedded applications, preferably on the complete level (i.e., in the car).
  • Proficiency in the design and development of embedded software.
  • Familiarity with Vector tools like CANoe, CANalyzer, and Elektra.
  • Test case development experience in CAPL.
  • Programming skills in C/C++.
  • Knowledge of continuous integration and automation tools (Git, Jenkins, Zuul, CMake), automotive communication, and ISO 26262.
  • Experience with Matlab/Simulink and SystemWeaver.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • B.Sc. or equivalent in Computer, Electrical, IT Engineering, Mechatronics, or a similar area of education. An M.Sc. is extra meritorious.
