Assignment Description

Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a Surface Designer to join their interior concept surface design team. They are looking for a patient and devoted surface designer who finds excitement and challenge in modeling complex shapes to harmonic perfection. You will be modeling interior components in the later concept phase/mid phase.

Main Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with designers and studio engineers to ensure the inclusion of technical constraints as well as design intention in the digital model.
• Perform quality checks of surface models.
• Deliver design-approved DSM models to engineering.
• Surface design of car interiors.

Required Qualifications:

• Proficiency in ICEM Surf or Alias.
• Structured modeling methodology with low math and theoretical intersection.
• Ability to deliver the right level of detail at the right time.
• At least seven (7) years of modeling experience in the automotive industry.
• Good technical understanding with a high interest in interior design.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Eligible Qualifications:

• Experience with CATIA V5.
• Experience with Blender or a similar subdivision tool.
