Assignment Description

Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a Software Developer for Data Factory.

Mandatory Qualifications:

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering for data processing, with a strong understanding of ETL/ELT processes.
• Proficiency in Python and similar object-oriented programming languages (not just for scripting).
• Experience working in Unix/Linux environments and with shell scripting.
• Practical experience with software development workflows (GitLab, Gerrit, Jenkins).
• Expertise in containerization, Kubernetes, and Portable Batch System (PBS).
• Experience in system deployment (putting systems into production) and system operations, preferably using an open-source environment.

Preferred Technical Skills:

• Experience with database systems, preferably relational databases, SQL, and NoSQL.
• Familiarity with data engineering tools and platforms like Apache Spark and Hadoop.
• Experience with Airflow.
• Knowledge of Portable Batch System (PBS) for workload management, particularly in high-performance computing environments.
