Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a Data Scientist to join their Field Data team.

Our client is committed to going fully electric by 2030, and mastering the battery is key to their success. Main Responsibilities:

• Perform data analysis based on measurement data from test, field, and customer vehicles to track battery usage, including battery degradation and quality-related issues.
• Support the development of battery systems, including the design of both hardware (HW) and software (SW) components.
• Develop mathematical models for predicting battery behavior, with a special focus on battery aging.
• Define requirements for data collection in collaboration with component owners and system architects.
• Provide insights and results to various internal stakeholders, including R&D, quality, service, and aftermarket teams.
• Contribute to the increased use of data-driven development within the company and facilitate interactions with the broader data community.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a similar field.
• A couple of years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Python and scientific packages such as NumPy, Pandas, etc.
• Experience in building data pipelines, data transformation, and data visualization.
• Passion for vehicle electrification and enjoyment of teamwork.

Beneficial Skills:

• Experience with version control tools for collaborative development (Git).
• Familiarity with modern cloud-based environments.
• Knowledge of AI/Machine Learning and databases (SQL).
• Experience with DevOps tools such as Kubernetes and Docker.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Tekton and ArgoCD.
• Proficiency in BI tools like Power BI or similar.
