Assignment Description

We are currently seeking a Test Facility IT Solution Strategist for our client in the automotive industry.

The Strategy, Facilities, and Investment department within our client’s R&D team is committed to ensuring that their test facilities are appropriate, sustainable, and fully functional. The team comprises 10 diverse individuals with various backgrounds and areas of expertise, creating a strong collective knowledge base.

As a Test Facility IT Solution Strategist, you will be responsible for creating an overarching IT strategy and taking ownership of IT environments and networks for the test systems. Success in this role requires the ability to gather and consolidate relevant requirements that impact operations. You will ensure compliance with IT policies and cybersecurity requirements while providing optimal support to the department. You will serve as a central point of contact to enhance alignment with Digital, drive priorities, structure and document work methods, and lead larger initiatives. Effective collaboration and networking with both internal and external partners will be essential to achieving the department’s goals.

Main Responsibilities:

• Gather and consolidate relevant requirements.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy for the test operation that meets internal and external requirements.
• Own and manage common test system networks within the test operation.
• Structure and document IT processes, reflecting established working methods from other parts of the company.
• Document guidelines and processes to ensure continuity and knowledge sharing.
• Provide scope and main requirements for projects with IT components and offer guidance.
• Assist the department with IT knowledge.
• Act as the central communication point with Digital, driving the test operation’s needs and facilitating the development of necessary IT services by Digital.
• Drive standardization of IT environments, work processes, and best practices for test systems maintenance and support.
• Ensure the test operation is represented in relevant IT forums and establish cross-functional cooperation between test operation and Digital.

Required Qualifications:

• Master of Science in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience in developing and implementing IT strategies.
• Experience in large test operations, manufacturing, or industrial operations.
• Strong background in IT security and compliance, particularly in regulated environments.
• Experience in network design.
• Proven ability to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders and serve as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) in complex organizations.
• Successful experience in structuring, documenting, and implementing processes and working methods.
• Fluency in English is mandatory; Swedish is meritorious.
