Assignment Description

We are currently seeking a Delivery Manager to join our client’s Product Delivery Excellence team, working cross-functionally within the core Study Life Cycle (LC) Tooling engineering tribe. As a member of the Product Delivery Excellence team, you will be one of several Delivery Managers working across different products. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that the Study LC Tooling aligns with our client’s product standards. Additionally, you will monitor metrics, ensuring governance and execution within the Study LC Tooling product portfolio.

You will be part of a digital product development and engineering organization that includes many cross-functional, self-organized/managed teams equipped with the people, skills, and resources necessary to deliver their respective product components. The organization works closely with health professionals and patients across the company, encompassing various roles. The Study LC Tooling tribe is responsible for developing customer-facing tools that are integral to delivering solutions to customers and users. This tribe comprises approximately 50 engineers and operates in a global environment, adhering to DevOps and Agile principles while following GCP quality standards.

Overview of Responsibilities

You will be responsible for overseeing and driving the entire delivery process across teams within the tribe—from planning through execution—to ensure efficient collaboration and high-quality outcomes. Additionally, you will manage dependencies with other tribes, fostering effective communication and collaboration. This role requires close coordination with the tribe lead, solution architect, technical product owner, and other tribes within the organization. The work involves both hands-on delivery and supporting the teams to achieve success. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in driving global IT development projects in compliance with quality standards like GxP.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Drive the standardization of processes and ways of working across our client’s products, ensuring the alignment of the Study LC Tooling.
  • Establish and monitor metrics as part of the governance process within the Product Delivery Excellence team.
  • Manage and coordinate the work within the engineering teams in Study LC Tooling, from planning through execution.
  • Define and drive improvement initiatives to simplify processes, enhance ways of working, and improve outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the quality manager to ensure that deliveries adhere to quality frameworks.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with senior business stakeholders, and liaise with the wider organization to communicate status, escalate issues, manage risks, and coordinate dependencies.
  • Report on overall progress and status, and manage RAID logs.

Required Qualifications:

  • A technical degree with significant proven experience as a senior IT delivery manager in a complex, regulated, multi-national environment.
  • Strong experience in working within a global organization, including managing and leading geographically dispersed project teams and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering regulated solutions, such as GxP.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proven track record in building strong, credible relationships with key senior partners.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies (SAFe & Scrum) and a pragmatic approach to adapting processes and ways of working.
  • Hands-on experience with project management tools like Jira and Confluence.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Proven experience within the healthcare or pharmaceutical sectors.
  • A background in software engineering or related technical experience.
