Assignment Description

Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a Testing Technology Engineer with strong skills in metrology to join their Testing Technology & Metrology team within R&D at their headquarters in Gothenburg.

At Testing Technology & Metrology, they build and maintain relationships with test engineers across almost all vehicle system areas, developing an understanding of the technology within those areas. The team provides expertise in metrology, solutions for testing, instrumentation lending, and the design and service of development tools and solutions for testing departments.

Main Responsibilities:

• Support the internal R&D organization and colleagues in the use of a wide range of metrology and testing tools, focusing on temperature and physical measurement solutions in vehicles.
• Provide support for fault tracing, functionality, and method development related to tools and measurement solutions, addressing both software and hardware issues.
• Work operationally with new and existing solutions in rigs and vehicles.
• Collaborate closely with test engineers across R&D, particularly with departments like Electric Powertrain, Active Safety, Chassis, and Electrics/Electronics, to find suitable measurement solutions.
• Work with development tools such as INCA, Vector, and Dewesoft, as well as various physical tools.
• Build and maintain a wide personal network within R&D and with suppliers through knowledge sharing.
• Shape your own deliveries and develop your skills both technically and in metrology.

Qualifications:

• B.Sc. degree or higher in Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, Engineering Physics, Electrical Engineering, or similar relevant experience.
• Previous experience in a technical support role and strong knowledge of metrology tools and techniques.
• Knowledge of calibration, quality work, and standards (beneficial).
• General automotive knowledge and a genuine interest in technology and problem-solving.
• Driver’s license (B) is meritorious.
