Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a Full Stack Developer (JavaScript) with DevOps experience to support their Continuous Integration (CI) applications. You will work from their headquarters in Gothenburg, in a hybrid setting.

Role Overview

You will be part of the Continuous Integration Infrastructure team, responsible for developing CI tools for the CI pipeline at our client’s organization. This involves working on one of the largest software automation chains in Sweden, connecting the entire process—from vehicle development to software application.

In this role, you will work in an agile environment where you, as a developer and DevOps engineer, are empowered to take requirements from the review stage to production-ready functionality. Your responsibilities will include conducting code reviews and setting up plans for how to architect code for top-notch quality and rapid iteration.

The team operates as an agile, cross-functional, and empowered unit, responsible for developing and managing the CI pipeline, which encompasses many different areas and tools. They are also responsible for visualization tools within the CI pipeline, providing the necessary infrastructure, and developing tools to create software baselines.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Work as a software developer within an agile cross-functional team focused on implementing the CI pipeline.
  • Perform tasks such as software design, development, writing tests for your code, creating end-user documentation, building user experiences with frontend technologies, and providing user support.
  • Collaborate with top professionals within DevOps, utilizing skills in JavaScript, Node.js, React, Python, Bash, and software architecture.
  • Participate in and contribute to the DevOps practices.
  • Develop innovative products and services that deliver value to customers.
  • Take ownership of your work, showing proactivity and creativity.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proficiency in both backend and frontend development with at least 5 years of experience in JavaScript (ES6 or later).
  • Strong experience with Node.js, Python, React, Next.js, MongoDB, Linux, Gerrit, Docker, Kubernetes, and Shell scripting (Bash).
  • Experience with CI/CD systems and cloud infrastructure, preferably Azure.
  • A solid understanding of writing and maintaining tests.

Preferred Competences:

  • Experience with RabbitMQ, Redis, Git, GitOps tools (e.g., Flux CD or Argo CD), Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Ansible, Terraform, or Pulumi.

Additional Qualifications:

  • At least 4+ years of documented IT experience as a developer.
  • Direct experience working with client requirements.
  • Previous experience with data analytics tools.
  • A strong understanding of the Agile development process and DevOps methodologies.
