Assignment Description

Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a Cloud Fault Tracing Engineer.

Main Responsibilities:

• Identify, diagnose, and resolve faults within the client’s automotive cloud platform after several levels of support.
• Direct access to the cloud system running on AWS, utilizing the latest tech stack (K8s, Kafka, Docker).
• Utilize monitoring and fault tracing tools (such as Splunk) and access cars and test rigs to reproduce issues.
• Collaborate closely with DevOps teams to continually improve products.
• Work within a cloud expert support team of 6 people across 3 time zones (US, EU, China) to share experience and maintain proximity to market-specific implementations.
• Proactively work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to address complex technical challenges.
• Improve customer satisfaction by contributing to the enhancement of their experience.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for cloud support for the support teams.
• Engage with various stakeholders to understand the inner workings of services.
• Set up test equipment such as cars and rigs to reproduce issues.
• Stay well-connected to anticipate upcoming changes and implementations.
• Build solid documentation on solving misconfigurations identified.
• Assist in designing interfaces and tools to make support easier and faster.

Qualifications:

• BSc degree or higher in engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 3-10 years of experience with cloud technologies.
• Proficient in AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Envoy, Istio.
• Experience with tools like Jira, GitLab, GitHub, Maven, GitOps, Argo CD.
• Familiarity with Splunk, Linux/SSH/Bash, Grafana.
• Mastery of the English language, both spoken and written.
