Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a Senior Prototype Modeler. This role offers a challenging and creative opportunity to work closely with their team and designers to develop new designs, primarily in clay. You will utilize your expertise in clay modeling to prepare models for both internal and external reviews.

Section 5127X: Physical Design Modelling Studio

This section is primarily responsible for creating physical design models and prototypes in close collaboration with project managers, designers, studio engineers, and suppliers. The models produced are critical to the decision-making process for the management team. The department is divided into four groups:

• 51271 Concept Modelling & Model Support
• 51272 Physical Exterior Modelling
• 51273 Physical Interior Modelling
• 51274 Colour & Material Modelling

The department comprises 25 permanent employees and approximately 20 consultants.

Main Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with designers to develop new designs in clay, focusing primarily on exterior designs, but also including interior designs.
• Create show models for reviews, with an emphasis on exterior, but also supporting interior designs.
• Produce models that aid in critical decision-making for management.
• Take responsibility for outcomes in assigned projects, including both models and team members.

Required Qualifications:

• Modeler skills level 3
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the automotive industry.
• Ability to lead a minor modeling project.
• Strong communication skills with designers and project managers.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities.
• Ability to work independently and take responsibility.
• Proficiency in English.
