Assignment Description

Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a System Designer for Door Control & Locking.

The Door Control, Locking & Alarm Team within Vehicle Platform Solution and ART Side & Roof is responsible for developing the locking, alarm, and various vehicle openings (such as windows, doors, and tailgate) functions, systems, and software to provide the best customer user experience in future vehicles.

Main Responsibilities:

• Work with existing and new functionality in current and upcoming car projects and electrical architectures.
• Utilize your experience and competence to develop, define, and verify robust system designs, technical solutions, and customer function behaviors.
• Apply analytical and problem-solving skills to understand the bigger picture and how different components interact and influence overall vehicle performance.
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Engineer with over 2 years of experience in function and system design.
• Experience in advanced function and system designs, systemization, and modeling.
• Experience in requirement development and decomposing requirements across different abstraction layers.
• Experience in systemization of safety-critical functions, with knowledge of applying ISO 26262 standards.
• Proficiency in tools such as Electra and Carweaver.
• Experience in supplier communication.
• MSc degree in Systems, Control and Mechatronics, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Engineering Physics, or equivalent experience.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.

Bonus Skills:

• Knowledge of hardware (HW) design.
• Experience in functional design.
• Understanding of use cases.
