Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a Senior SW Design Engineer – Protective Safety.

Safe Vehicle Automation Unit

Our client’s Safe Vehicle Automation unit develops and delivers leading safety and autonomous driving solutions. This unit controls the vehicle’s six degrees of freedom in the most energy-efficient way, creating a rewarding and confident driving experience. Their mission includes developing and delivering Vehicle Motion and Control, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), Highway Pilot, and Protective Safety systems.

Department 96200 – AD & ADAS Platform and Protective Safety

The 96200 department comprises approximately 160 skilled engineers. They are responsible for:

• Research and advanced engineering.
• Implementation, verification, and validation of current and future customer offerings.
• Ensuring product quality and customer satisfaction.

Their Agile Release Train (ART) for Protective Safety is involved in:

• Developing and integrating systems and functionalities into complete products, including software (SW), hardware (HW) such as ECUs (Electronic Control Units), and peripheral sensors.
• Managing electronic sensors and ECUs that detect, determine, and activate various devices (e.g., airbags, seat belts) during an accident to protect occupants inside the car and pedestrians outside.
• Overseeing the HP GNSS (High Performance Global Navigation Satellite System), a key component for enabling Highway Pilot functionality.

Main Responsibilities:

• Migration from bought assignment CI-Boost team
• With responsible to develop and maintain the Protective safety CI-chain. Including: tooling, test automation, documentation, way of working, etc
• The work will be done in the team set up for the ART Prosafe
