Assignment Description:

Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a System Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate should have experience in building scalable system environments with a focus on quality and fast feedback. Experience in HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) development is considered meritorious. This role is not centered on manual testing or writing tests for the software itself; rather, it involves building test environments that run automated tests, managing the associated infrastructure, and creating tools, scripts, and frameworks that enable developers to write tests themselves. In this role, you will help increase the quality of their software and reduce the risks associated with software releases through automation.

At the Domain Test & Integration unit, the team develops test environments for new platforms and programs within the Software & Electronic Platform (SWEP) business unit. They design rigs and provide the test infrastructure necessary for software and electronic integration. Their rigs are continuously integrated (CI) and provide feedback on the electrical system, ensuring high quality and robustness. This is achieved through the use of simulations and rigorous quality assurance processes. The team comprises engineers focused on quality, information sharing, and continuous improvement of their products and working methods.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the entire process from rig design to fault tracing and maintenance.
  • Contribute to improving tools and processes to increase efficiency as the number of rigs scales up.
  • Develop health and regression tests and connect rigs to the CI toolchain to ensure they meet both internal and external stakeholders’ test requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Experience in scalable system development.
  • Proficiency in Python for automation purposes.
  • Experience working with CANoe and CAPL.
  • Knowledge of DevOps tools.
  • Experience in model development in Simulink.
  • Familiarity with HIL rigs and automated test systems.
  • Experience in automotive electrical architectures and protocols.

Desired Attributes:

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively in an agile team environment.
  • Proactive, creative, and driven.
  • Willingness to share knowledge and take responsibility within the team.
