Assignment Description

Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a Software Engineer. As a member of the DevOps team, you will be responsible for developing an automated process for building and testing software that is created at our client’s organization using model-based design and C/C++ code. The CI toolchain is based on Zuul, Git, and Gerrit. The automated process will manage all the necessary steps for creating and delivering a binary file ready to be deployed to the client’s vehicles.

You will be part of a team that is shaping the future of the software production flow, including the CI/CD system that supports hundreds of developers.

Main Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain an automated process to ensure software quality
• Maintain and update current scripts/tools to support evolving software needs
• Evaluate and develop new tools to support developers

Required Qualifications:

• Experience with automation scripting using Python, and familiarity with Bash, Batch, Groovy, or Shell scripting is beneficial
• Experience working with continuous integration tools and understanding software development workflows and processes
• Experience with continuous integration infrastructure tools such as Jenkins, Zuul, or similar
• Experience working with Git and Gerrit
• Familiarity with tools and techniques such as Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes is a plus

Meritorious:

• Experience working with Linux/Ubuntu/CentOS environments
• Prior experience with C/C++ and the ability to read code
• Experience working in an agile environment with methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe
• Passion for cars
