Assignment Description

Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a Function and System Design Engineer.

Main Responsibilities:

• Work as a Function and System Design Engineer, focusing on Low Speed Assistance functions.
• Design customer functions and set requirements for attributes, user experience, and performance.
• Take responsibility for verifying customer functions, from integration to attributes.
• Break down and write requirements for system and software design for other teams to develop the software.
• Design the system by collaborating across the organization, integrating system and software interfaces.
• Perform hazard analysis as well as functional and system safety analysis.
• Collaborate closely with test engineers and sensor platform teams to align functionality with sensor performance.
• Work with UX and HMI teams to create the best user experience.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure optimal functionality, and continuously be involved in the development and testing of the function and system.

Qualifications:

• MSc in Electrical Engineering, Automation and Control, Automotive, or a similar field.
• A few years of experience in system design and writing requirements at different abstraction levels.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
• Holds a valid driver’s license (B).
