Assignment Description
Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a Diagnostic Design Engineer with several years of experience working with diagnostics in automotive systems.
Main Responsibilities:
As part of the diagnostic system design team for the Computing Infrastructure, you will be responsible for:
- Analyzing the system architecture.
- Identifying diagnostic design requirements.
- Defining diagnostic monitors and related software requirements.
- Ensuring compliance with diagnostic standards and regulations.
- Understanding the needs of various diagnostic stakeholders, including testing, production, aftermarket analysis, and workshops.
Required Qualifications:
- Extensive experience with embedded systems.
- Extensive experience in software and hardware design for embedded systems.
- Familiarity with diagnostic standards (ISO 14229, SAE J2012, SAE J1979).
- Expertise in reliable diagnostic monitor design.
- Ability to define data points for analysis in backend systems and/or predictive maintenance.
- Ability to define control routines that support testing and workshop verification.
- Experience authoring software requirements according to ASPICE (SWE.1).
- Proficiency in structuring, creating, and maintaining DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) and related data, as well as configuring UDS (Unified Diagnostic Services) for each subsystem.
- Experience in creating and releasing diagnostic specifications.
- A M.Sc. degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent field.
Preferred Experience:
- Knowledge of Autosar and/or POSIX environments.
- Experience with aftermarket usage of on-board diagnostics.
- Experience with emission-related monitor design.
