Assignment Description

Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a System Safety Engineer to support the development of safe and reliable automotive systems.

The Enabling Platform Architecture team is responsible for the design of electrical architectures, including topology, logic architecture, function allocation, base technologies, system safety, and cybersecurity. The Secure Platform team serves as the Center of Expertise and Excellence in System Safety and Cybersecurity within Zeekr Technology Europe.

As a System Safety Specialist at Zeekr Technology Europe, you will join our client’s System Safety team to support the development and delivery of safe products and services. This role involves collaboration with other teams within Zeekr and Geely Automotive Group, spanning the entire development cycle. Key tasks include functional safety impact analysis, hazard analysis and risk assessment, safety concepts, validation and verification, system safety joint reviews with suppliers, and safety verification reviews. Note that travel to China may be required several times per year.

Main Responsibilities:

• Perform verification and confirmation reviews of functional safety work products.
• Develop safety cases compliant with ISO 26262 in vehicle projects.
• Conduct safety analyses in platform/vehicle projects.
• Review technical safety-relevant concepts and solutions.
• Support system safety joint reviews with suppliers.
• Assist in system/functional safety planning and management in vehicle projects.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of processes, guidelines, and templates.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience in functional safety at the function, system, component, or vehicle level within the automotive industry (e.g., safety case, HARA, FSC, TSC, SSJR).
• Experience in functional safety planning and management for vehicle/platform projects.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant industry practices and standards, such as ISO 26262.
• Understanding of automotive electrical systems, architecture, and software.
• Knowledge of SOTIF is a plus.
• M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, IT, or a related field.
