Assignment Description
Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer – Electromobility to join their Measurement & Development Solutions team. This team consists of approximately 20 members who enjoy contributing to the future of mobility
Within Testing Technology & Metrology, they:
- Establish and develop relationships with test engineers across various system areas of the vehicle.
- Build an understanding of the technology in those areas.
- Provide expertise in metrology, solutions for testing, lending instrumentation, and designing development tools.
- Offer services for testing departments.
The team also offers access to long-term development opportunities in a dynamic and continuously growing field. They work with tools such as Vector, Dewesoft, Ipetronik and communication protocols like Ethernet, CAN, LIN, and Flexray.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and support metrology & calibration solutions for the R&D organization.
- Contribute with new methods for development tools.
- Apply theoretical knowledge to solve practical challenges for customers.
- Focus on measurement solutions for electrical vehicles, specifically in voltage and current measurements.
- Collaborate with test engineers from Vehicle Propulsion, Active Safety, Chassis, and Electrics/Electronics to find suitable measurement solutions.
- Share knowledge and build/maintain a wide personal network within R&D and with suppliers.
- Work with tools like frequency analyzers, oscilloscopes, power supplies, EV chargers, Rogowski coils, and function generators.
- Assist testers with signal conditioning tools to ensure accurate measurements (e.g., EMI attenuation).
- Procure and benchmark equipment to meet future demands.
- Work with development tools such as Vector, Dewesoft, Ipetronik, and communication protocols like Ethernet, CAN, LIN, and Flexray.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electric Power Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Mechatronics, or relevant experience.
- Experience with electric drive, high-voltage battery, charging, and inverters is considered meritorious.
- Driver’s license B.
- Familiarity with tools like Vector, Dewesoft, Ipetronik is beneficial.
- Programming skills in C, C++, C#, Python, or other languages are advantageous.
