Assignment Description

Our client in the automotive industry is seeking a Software Developer to strengthen their Core System Application Integration team within the field of test environment development. The role focuses on designing new test rigs, developing and maintaining CI infrastructure, and creating, executing, and analyzing automated tests for a newly developed platform within the Software & Electronic Platform organization.

If you are passionate about making a difference, enjoy the challenge of building Core System Application Integration from the ground up, and wish to influence your work in a dynamic team, this could be the perfect opportunity.

Core System Application Integration

The Core System Application Integration team is an agile, tightly-knit group focused on building test environments for new platforms and programs. The team designs hardware rigs and works on software and electronic integration to maximize test value. Their rigs are part of Continuous Integration (CI) processes, providing essential feedback to ensure high quality and system robustness. This helps to automate integration and visualize the status of the system under test.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop the test environment and automate test processes.
  • Work with the entire process, from designing test infrastructure to analyzing test results when HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) rigs are running in the CI environment.
  • Develop tool chains for test automation and test cases in Python, Groovy scripting, and Vector CAPL to verify software.
  • Use automation tools such as Ansible to manage the rig park.
  • Engage in continuous improvements, troubleshooting both hardware and software for better fault detection and test efficiency.
  • Gain an in-depth understanding of the client’s vehicle systems and electrical functions.

Qualifications:

  • Several years of experience in test development, automation, and Continuous Integration.
  • Strong skills in test automation with scripting languages like Python, Groovy, and Vector CAPL.
  • Experience in managing and troubleshooting both software and hardware environments.
  • Familiarity with automation tools, especially Ansible.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Desired Attributes:

  • Proactive, creative, and driven, with a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Strong teamwork skills, enjoying problem-solving with colleagues.
  • Passionate about software and hardware integration and improving product quality.
  • Enjoy taking initiative and pride in both individual and team achievements.
