Assignment Description

On behalf of our client we are looking for a Service Manager. You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our computation cluster and server infrastructure. You will work on-site to troubleshoot issues, maintain systems, and provide general support to business users related to CAD and computational tools.

Tasks:

• Monitor and maintain the health and performance of our server infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to servers and applications.
• Assist business users with inquiries and basic troubleshooting related to CAD and computational tools.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure the efficient operation of our IT environment.
• Contribute to the upkeep and optimization of our computational cluster.

Required skills:

• Strong understanding of UNIX operating systems
• Proficiency in Python programming
• Experience with server administration and maintenance
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Fluency in English
