Assignment Description

Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a Senior Surface Designer with excellent skills in ICEM Surf/Alias for the Digital Modelling Exterior Team. The task will be to develop exterior surface models in the late phases of the design process. Main input will be sketches, rough alias models from designers, and scan data from clay models combined with technical input from their studio engineers.

Main Responsibilities:

• Develop exterior surface models during the late phases of the design process (Class-A Surfacing).
• Work with sketches, rough alias models, and scan data from clay models.
• Collaborate closely with designers and studio engineers to combine technical input and design requirements.
• Deliver DSM (Digital Surface Models) in the final stages of the design process, meeting internal DSM gate requirements.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 6 years of experience in Class-A modeling within the automotive industry.
• Expertise in using ICEM Surf/Alias software.
• Strong understanding of the technical prerequisites of car design.
• Experience with both interior and exterior modeling.

Additional Qualifications:

• Experience with both interior and exterior car modeling is a merit.
