Our automotive industry client is in search of a Test Engineer with expertise in HIL and Continuous Integration (CI).
Main Responsibilities:
As a Test Engineer specializing in HIL, your role will involve the following tasks:
- HIL Rig Design and Maintenance: You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test rigs. This includes ensuring that they are continuously updated and able to simulate the necessary operational conditions effectively.
- Test Case Development and Automation: You will create and automate test cases across various environments, such as HIL, Model-in-the-Loop (MIL), and laboratory settings, ensuring the accuracy and consistency of test results.
- Support for System Testing: You will assist in testing the full system within vehicles, ensuring all integrated components perform correctly and meet the required performance benchmarks.
- Beta Testing and Feedback Management: You will manage beta testing activities and create a feedback loop based on data to assess system performance. This involves working with dashboards and metrics to facilitate efficient data collection and reporting.
- Enhancing Testing Efficiency: You will ensure the optimal use of testing setups to fully assess developed functionalities, with a focus on evaluating battery cell performance in areas like range, charging, and energy efficiency, all while maintaining safety and system dependability.
Required Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in electrical engineering and software development within the automotive sector.
- A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with battery-related software.
- A degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline.
- Strong programming skills in Matlab/Simulink, Python, and Azure.
- Proficiency in HIL development, particularly with tools like ETAS, Vector, NI, and Speedgoat, both in hardware and software.
