Assignment Description

Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a System Developer to strengthen their teams within Exterior Lighting Functions. The team’s goal is to deliver best-in-class customer functions for upcoming vehicles.

The Exterior Lighting Functions Group, part of Vehicle Tophat Solution and Exterior Systems ART, is responsible for developing and designing exterior lighting functions, systems, and software (SW) to provide the best user experience in future vehicles. As part of the team, you will contribute to the development and design of systems that deliver the customer functions they aim to offer.

Main Responsibilities:

As a System Developer, you will be responsible for developing a system that fulfills the agreed cross-functional solution. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring that all solutions comply with agreed requirements.
• Breaking down and distributing functional requirements to the execution environment.
• Overseeing the functional and non-functional realization in Car Weaver (System Weaver), working closely with the team and all relevant stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications:

• A relevant university degree in Electronics, Software, Mechatronics, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in system engineering or a strong background in electrical system knowledgegained from working with SW testing.
• Previous experience in SW development is advantageous.
• Fluency in English (spoken and written).

Additional Qualifications:

The following skills and experiences are desired and would add value to the team:

• C++ programming.
• Simulation and Model-Based Design using MATLAB/Simulink.
• Experience with System Weaver and Elektra.
• Knowledge of vehicle communication protocols like CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet.
• Familiarity with automotive standards, such as:
  • Functional Safety ISO26262.
  • Cyber Security ISO21434.
• A valid B driving license.
