Assignment Description

On behalf of our client we are now looking for a senior Analytics Engineer. The project will entail helping our clients team that is working on large and highly available data sets that form the backbone of our product experience for hundreds of millions of users across the globe.

Role Description:

• Define IAM Domain Data Schema.
• Propose the most efficient and scalable data schemas tailored to the needs of the IAM domain. This involves understanding the current IAM systems, identifying gaps, and proposing improvements in the data structure.
• Establish Data Governance and Ownership.
• Set clear roles and responsibilities for data management, define data quality metrics, and ensure compliance with internal and external data policies.
• Create comprehensive documentation outlining best practices for data modeling specific to the IAM domain.
• Collaborate with Engineering Teams on Event Instrumentation.
• You will work closely with the engineering teams to set instrumentation requirements and to ensure the collected data is accurate and actionable.
• You will lead Project Planning and Execution.
• Break down the overall project into manageable tasks and phases.
• Lead the planning and execution efforts, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and meet the defined objectives.

Requirements:

• You have 5+ years of experience in the development of data products (using Python, SQL)
• You have a track record of taking open-ended analytics goals and translating them into production-quality datasets
• You are comfortable stepping through ETL processes and tracing data flows through complex DAGs and you are experienced with DBT
• You are knowledgeable in data modeling, data access and data storage techniques.
• You have strong proficiency using SQL in cloud data warehouses (e.g. BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake) and are comfortable with performance optimization, data partitioning, and window functions. Experience with GCP tooling is a plus
• You are a communicative person who values building strong relationships with colleagues and partners and enjoys mentoring and teaching others
• You are able to operate effectively and autonomously across multiple teams in situations of ambiguity, with only high-level direction
• You have experience with improving data quality through testing, tooling and continuously evaluating performance
