Assignment Description

Our client is currently seeking a Senior Elasticsearch Advisory Consultant.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Elasticsearch Advisory Consultant, you will:

• Guide and advise the team on building a generic query to search for documents.
• Create relevant decompounder functions.
• Apply rules to queries to ensure compound words and split words are findable, prioritizing results based on relevance. For example, a search for ”Green” should prioritize ”Green cars” over ”Greenhouse for sale,” while ”Greenhouse” should prioritize ”Greenhouse for sale.” Incomplete or non-standard word searches, like ”enho,” may not yield results for ”greenhouse.”
• Collaborate closely with the development team to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and provide expert advice on Elasticsearch best practices.
• Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of the Elasticsearch solution for our client’s project.

Qualifications:

• Strong experience with Elasticsearch and Elasticsearch Query DSL.
• Knowledge of data modeling and database design principles.
• In-depth understanding of decompounder functions.
• Experience with log management and analysis.
• Understanding of distributed systems and cloud infrastructure.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in Elasticsearch or related technologies are a plus.
