Assignment Description
We are seeking a Service Manager, preferably based in Sweden, with flexibility for candidates from nearshore locations.
You will ensure the business receives appropriate services aligned with its objectives, including operational supplier and risk management within IT operations. Responsibilities involve tracking service performance per roadmaps, SLAs, and KPIs while ensuring service continuity and disaster recovery. Your key duties include overseeing daily IT operations, verifying procedures, engaging with suppliers, preparing reports, and representing IT operations in external meetings and projects. You will support the project teams by aligning IT operations with its needs, assisting with ServiceNow integrations, and driving service improvements. Additionally, you will ensure adherence to industry standards and company policies, translate service requirements into actionable tasks, maintain service descriptions in the catalog, and manage supplier oversight. You should foster a dynamic, collaborative work environment, promote simplicity and customer focus, and ensure compliance with data protection guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive experience in IT service management, including project management and organizational change management.
- Strong analytical skills to assess IT operations metrics, streamline service delivery processes, and drive improvements.
- Vendor management experience in complex multivendor environments, with proficiency in service management best practices and leading global frameworks.
- Team management and personnel resource planning expertise, with proven leadership in digital service delivery, designing, delivering, and managing high-quality services.
- Awareness of market trends, innovative procurement practices, and experience with agile project management, open-source technologies, cloud platforms, and digital services.
- Knowledge of lean processes, continuous improvement methodologies, and familiarity with ICT standards such as ITIL in project management, architecture, and agile development.
- Recent experience in a similar role with cross-cultural exposure and a strong background in IT operations within financial services.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in technology, economics, or related fields.
Fluency in Swedish is beneficial but not a requirement.
You should have a service-oriented mindset with a focus on business and development, possess the ability to simplify complex situations, and be a proactive team player with a coaching leadership style. Be decisive, set clear goals, and follow up effectively while fostering talent management and cultural development. Strong communication and negotiation skills are essential to influence stakeholders. You must be articulate at a senior level and promote a strong organizational culture.
