Assignment Description

We are seeking a Digital Vehicle Engineer to oversee test processes for mobile applications and other digital or R&D-related projects. Responsibilities include managing software and backend configurations across development environments, fault tracing, and troubleshooting infotainment, connectivity, and vehicle software systems. The role also involves documenting error-tracing activities and monitoring incidents.

Ensuring vehicle compatibility with connected car features and cloud-based services is essential. The position requires expertise in test object management, software downloads (SWDL), and system validation. Additional tasks include coordinating test setups, configuring test objects (cars/rigs), software upgrades, and validation processes. Collaboration with development teams following Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe is key.

Required Qualifications:

• A strong background in connected car cloud architecture and automotive software development.
• Expertise in system validation, verification, and troubleshooting, particularly in CAN, LIN, FlexRay, and cloud-based connectivity.
• More than ten years of experience in system integration, testing, and fault tracing, with a focus on infotainment, connectivity, and thermal management systems.
• Experience with tools such as CANoe, CANalyzer, JIRA, Splunk, VIDA, Techtool, and automotive-related portals.
• Solid knowledge of wireless car portals, SWDL, and test environment setup.
• Experience with Google Automotive Services and mobile app testing.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
• Previous experience leading technical discussions, working cross-functionally, and supporting Agile development teams.
• A valid driver’s license.

Preferred qualifications include certifications in Scrum, Agile, or SAFe methodologies. Experience in press events, factory validations, or remote testing is beneficial. Knowledge of mobile app testing, particularly for electric vehicles, is a plus. Familiarity with iOS and Android platforms, software testing methodologies, and defect tracking tools is valuable. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach are desirable. Experience with Jira, Confluence, and cross-functional collaboration is an advantage.
